I buy only candles that emit a good strong scent, like Yankee, Gold Canyon, and Cost Plus's.

    Spice or Cinnamon
    Butter Rum
    Sugar Cookie
    Gardenia
    Jasmine (hard to find)
    Teak (from Cost Plus)
    Asian Poppy (from Cost Plus)
    Cotton
    a good Vanilla
    Rose

Like another poster, I love Nag Champa incense. I did buy some Nag candles but they didn't emit much smell while burning.

Wonder what Beach Boardwalk smells like?

I went to a little local store today and stopped to look at the jarred candles. Did you know that Entennman's actually makes candles now? Two scents ~ Apple Studel and Pound Cake. Can't say I cared much for either one. The Pound Cake smelled way too sweet ~ although I'd love to EAT their pound cake (love Entennman's!).

There was a vanilla-coconut that smelled real good, and a cotton-scent I liked. But I ended up walking off ~ it wasn't what I went there for.

I don't know what happened to them but the Yankee brand candles have gotten clear out of sight in prices.

Here in NY they are sky high in price. They do give off the best fragrance.
