Have you ever been in a relationship where either your partner or you cheated, and either your partner or you forgave the indiscretion?

If so, what made forgiveness possible, and how long did it take for the trust to be reinstated?

I have not been, but if I was, it would not be.

I've never cheated and the men I've gone out with, as far as I know, have not cheated on me. But if there was any sort of cheating, there would be absolutely no forgiveness. He'd be out the door so fast it would make his head spin.

Nope...I'd like to think I could forgive but I'm not so sure.

Well this is my philosophy on it, if I can make it through the relationship without cheating, then it is NOT an impossible task, it can't even be hard because I usually don't do well with things that take a lot of work, so if I can manage to stay faithful, there is NO reason why he can't, NO excuse, contrary to popular belief it's not something that JUST happens.

What is "cheating?"

Suppose you become enamoured of another woman (I did) and your wife tells you to go see her and get it out of your system? (I didn't)

What if you play around with some of the guys (I did) but your wife knew you would because she knew you were bi and that she was not a guy?

I once went out on a date with an ex who was in town for a few days and that night we kissed. At the time I was in a new relationship and felt bad after. I told my GF about the date (but not the kiss) and she was bothered, but didn't make a big deal of it because nothing serious happened.
