Excluding your parents; do you have any relatives who you simply dislike? Is this a petty grievance on your part, or did they actually do something that earned your wrath?

My father's sister and her family. I haven't had to have any contact with them in many, many years so they're basically out of sight out, of mind. Or as translated directly to Russian, "invisible maniac".

As far as I am concerned, there is no binding law that forces anybody to like any other member of their family, which is something that my dear mother likes to deny. However, personally, I don't find that common DNA strands are enough to convince me that a relationship is worth maintaining. There has to be some level of mutual respect earned over time.

A family is designed to be a safety net; unfortunately, many members of my family have proven to be in it solely for themselves. One disappointment after the next. As a result, I have decided to terminate any sort of connection with a large chunk of family. If you cannot be trusted, you have no business being a contributing factor in my life. Uncles, cousins, aunts included.

My two cousins on my mother's side. These two monsters have stolen from the family and are just money hungry thieves and I dislike them intensely.

I have 2 older cousins on my mothers side who I never really cared for....brothers, one is annoying 'player'-type and the other is an annoying nerd.

I don't know about dislike, but I have one and and uncle whom I'm not that fond of. I mean - I like them, but my uncle is someone I hardly no. He has NO social skills and even on the rare occasions he calls my Mom, if I pick up the phone, he asks to speak to her right away - no chit-chat, now how are you - just "Hi - is you Mom there please". His wife, my aunt, is a very selfish person who thinks no one has hard it harder than her because she's had some health challenges. Other than that, I like the rest of my family.

I have an great uncle on my mom's side who I completely dislike. Not only is he a loud mouth, but he was/is a bully, who I heard beat my aunt and their kids.

The easier question for me would be who do I actually like in my family? Outside of my Mom, my family falls into two catergories: ones I don't even know and ones I don't like. There's only one exception to this and that's my Aunt Veronica. But any family member I've ever known (except for Mom and said aunt) I dislike immensely. And they completely earned my wrath!

Too bad i can't say my dad. I do have this elderly aunt on my mom's side (my grandma's sister) that loves to drill me with question after question at every family get together. She's KNOWN in our family as having a big mouth and we all sort of tolerate her nosiness.

Makes you wonder why they would even do anything to make you dislike them, I guess in some families like mine it comes naturally.

I probably shouldn't say this, but I don't care much for my grandfather (my dad's father.) An Irish immigrant, he is very critical, doesn't censor what he says or exercise tact. He has a reputation in the family for being crotchety, obnoxious and just plain mean.

I don't like my guy's brother or his wife. Especially not the wife. She is vile and a user and it stinks that she is mom to my son's only first cousins that live in this state.
