LOL - well - look at their choices in hubbies. 
I really have to wonder at their intelligence - a neanderthal and his stooge for hubbies? I liked Brody - loved him, in fact - until he became one of John's goons. Now? I have no interest in him whatsoever and until he gets his head out of John's ass, I have no use for him. The moment they moved him into John's storyline when Brody joined the police force, I knew it would only be a matter of time before John destroyed them.
