Not only a hobby, I plan to make it my career. I'm not published yet, but I recently finished my second novel, my first serious attempt at a sci-fi story but a different kind of sci-fi. The last novel I wrote was a prison story. I guess you'd call what I write contemporary fiction because most of it can't fit in any one genre becasue they tend to have a little bit of everything, comedy, adventure, mystery, drama, etc.

I'm a hobby writer but have been published frequently.
Some op-ed letters were actually guest columns.
But most of my published work has been magazine articles on nudism, many under the title "Nude Attitude." This was in the '80s & '90s and I have been published in nudist magazines all over the world. (One article was translated into Dutch)
Oh, 3 of my gay male porn pieces were published in "HandJobs" magazine.
Some op-ed letters were actually guest columns.

Don't be like that. You two could have a very productive relationship. I, for one, would love to read it. 
In any case, I used to write. I don't enjoy doing it, but it's funny because a lot of times, I have very vivid dreams and sometimes a story or some kind of plot plays out in them. I keep saying to myself one day I'm going to wake up and write down what I dreamt and maybe parlay that into writing something. I just don't like to write though.

I love writing! And like Supernova, I plan to make a career of it. I had no idea there were so many other writers in this forum besides you-know-who, lol. I write poetry and mostly absurdist short stories. I did write one novel, but it's such a piece of garbage I haven't looked back on it. I have had a few poems published though in various publications.
