Enjoy quite a bit of his music but hate, hate, hate his personality. I would never wanna have a conversation with the guy. He comes off as very bitter and unpleasant.

Yeah - ITA with this. I like his music but there's something about him that just rubs me the wrong way, though I can't really put my finger on hit but maybe it's just what you said.

I haven't really observed his personality closely, but I don't really have a problem with him on a personal level. But more than that (and more to the point), I love his music! Well, some of it. I have his "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" album. That album is a masterpiece, I love almost every song on that thing. I also have his self-titled and "The Fox" albums which, ah-hem, are shit. That's as nice as I can be about them.

I saw him a couple of times. Once in the 70s at The Garden. I think it was the next night that John Lennon got up on stage to jam. As Maxwell Smart said, "Missed it by that much."

"Circle of Life" is another good one I forgot to bring up. He's made a lot of music that's just classic. Far as her personality goes, I hear he has a difficult streak and is a "diva", but oh well. I'm just listening to his music, not talking to him directly.
