Some might argue that the less you know, the happier you can be (i.e., "the truth hurts.") Can knowledge ever be considered a curse?

I think knowledge can definitely make a person cursed. There are some things you just wish you didn't know about, but you know about it anyway, and it can be painful. But from it, I think, a person can grow. It's much easier to look away and not recognize the issues in your life or in the world - these people may not be cursed, in fact, they may be much happier, but they're not terribly insightful or open-minded.

If ignorance is bliss, I'd rather be miserable.

Knowledge is ALWAYS power. Ignorance is only bliss SOMETIMES. Other times, ignorance is misery! And while the truth hurts sometimes, ultimately the truth can also set you free.
