What are those words that, for whatever reason, you can't wrap your head around the correct spelling?
For me it's conscious
'Concious' is how I spell it sans spell check.

I dunno. I was spelling bee queen in grade school and I used read a lot, so I'm actually a pretty good speller. Prob. any of those off the wall words that they have on the national spelling bee. Basically, if I've never heard it or seen it and I spell it wrong, I'd at least come close to spelling it correctly.

There are actually a handful of words that make me thank God for my spell checker, but for the life of me, I cannot think of any of them right now...

I tend to twist around the spelling of words with 'i' and 'e'.

One I always had trouble with was of 'desperate' and 'separate', which had the e and which had the a.

Once upon a time I was very good at spelling, as I have grown older the spelling as gone to rat poop. People used to compliment me on my hand writing too, since we got our first computer some years ago that too has gone to rat poop. I depend on spell check, but it isn't always fool proof either.
