$2.75 more so you can have the privilege of wearing tinted Buddy Holly-ish glasses and things stick out like they're right in front of you, no, in my opinion it is NOT worth the extra money.

And I particularly dislike that blatant rip-off of making a movie 3-D after the fact like Clash of the Titans, where they not only charge more money but the effects were HORRID.
That movie alone got everyone's attention and I think put a damper on the 3-D mania.

I think 3D movies are all around tacky. I also can't think of any that I have seen that even had the desired "3D" effect that was pre-hyped.

I don't think I've seen any major ones. Frankly, the technology just does not appeal to me. The glasses hurt my eyes anyway. Ill stick with 2D.

The 3D thing can be enjoyable in small doses but it's being so overdone. And no it's not worth the extra money.

It depends on the movie, last 3D movie I saw (Summit) definetely did not need to be in 3D.

Not to me. Even for "blockbusters". Movies, snacks, etc. are costly enough without having to pay extra to wear flimsy cardbord "glasses" that give me a headache.

What can I say...that's what was in the box with the DVD (Coraline) I watched recently. They've upgraded in the theater? Fantastic! I'm still too cheap.
