It was okay. A bit boring to me.

I didn't like it as much as the book, but it was okay

Re: The Green Mile
I've only read book 1 of the 5 book series, and so far I like it, but I prefer the movie. HATE it near the end though, this is one of those movies that every time, when John Coffy's walking the green mile I just I hate death scenes in movies.

I watched the movie Parenthood the other day, with my husband and I was crying so much at the end...it wasn't a death it was a birth but still, I was so embarrassed because I try to be tough.

Re: The Green Mile
That's kind of funny because I've seen that movie quite a few times, it's one of my favorites, and I sure never would've seen anything in it to cry over. Though it was sad when Jason Robards had to tell Cool that his dad wasn't coming back for him.

I didn't make it all the way through to the end.

As I recall, it was quite a long movie, which I don't like. So, yes it dragged. I never got it on DVD, never considered watching it again.

Re: The Green Mile
It was reasonably faithful to the story. I thought Paul Edgecomb's fate was worse than John Coffey's.

Re: The Green Mile
It was a decent movie, though I was shocked to find out it was a Stephen King movie. I usually avoid his movies because they're almost always horror movies, so I was surprised this one was one of his.

Re: The Green Mile
This is generally true but have you seen Shawshank and Stand By Me? There was also Apt Pupil but the way the story ended was much better.TSJFan4Ever wrote:It was a decent movie, though I was shocked to find out it was a Stephen King movie.
