The new season starts tonight. I'm gonna go ahead and watch that....I wanna see how they explain Sheen's exit and Kutcher's entrance.

I plan to watch it, too. Personally, I think Kucher can pull it off. This is my all-time favorite comedy, but Charlie started to wear on me in the last season. He was looking tired and considerably older and his character was getting pathetic. Charlie was not the sole carry of the show; the whole cast is hilarious and outstanding in their roles.

Yep!
With Roger trying to give a str8 faced eulogy and all the women in attendance sniping at his rotten ways, turning it into a roast. It was hilarious and undignified.
I really enjoyed the episode and how they introduced Kutcher, whom we are to believe runs around naked a lot, with pixels obscuring his mid section.
Quite a few cameos of well-known TV stars in this episode as well.

Watched it this morning. I thought they did a really decent job with it. Plan to watch the next one. AK can run around simulated nekkid all the time. Be fine with me.

Yep, I'll continue to tune in. It was a hilarious episode with lots of potential. I just knew it would.
The dynamics of the naked Kucher (can't think of his character's name. . Walden?) with Roberta oughta' be a scream.

Re: Two and a Half Men
I've watched it twice & I can still see it working. I like Ashton in this but think when they finally end the show Charlie will come back in some way for the finale. He's either not really dead, his "ghost" will show up or he's having one hell of a hangover.

Re: Two and a Half Men
I watched the episode online yesterday. They killed off Sheen's character and *completely* lampooned it. Very spiteful, but funny. Kutcher seems like he's gonna work out nicely.

Re: Two and a Half Men
What has started to bug me about this show is what they've done to Alan's character. They've turned him too pathetic. At first I accepted that as perhaps a plunge from his brother's death, but it's gotten old. The writer needs to brighten up his character some.
Also, Berta's lines have apparently cut back. And where's the mother????

I agree. Alan was always a bit of a sap, but he didn't used to be this flaky and silly. They've camped him up quite a bit.

I read that when it returns in the fall, it's moving from its long held Monday night time slot to Thursday.

I think they're digging the hole. I'd like to see the show have a decent final end though. The only way I can see that happening is paying Charlie Sheen an absurd amount of money to come back for at least the final episode. The way it was written I don't think the character is really dead. But it's time to put this one down.

Angus T. Jones blasts 'Two and a Half Men,' calls the hit series 'filth'
'If you watch 'Two and a Half Men,’ please stop watching 'Two and a Half Men.' I'm on 'Two and a Half Men,' and I don't want to be on it,' said Jones in a videotaped testimonial.

Angus T. Jones of "Two and a Half Men" has denounced the show that made
him one of Hollywood's highest-paid teens. Although he says he'd like
to leave, his contract requires him to remain on the show for another year.
This “half” man is biting the hand that has fed him millions.
Less than two years after Charlie Sheen was booted from “Two and a Half Men,” his co-star, Angus T. Jones, 19, has blasted the series as "filth" and suggested people should stop watching.
“If you watch 'Two and a Half Men,’ please stop watching 'Two and a Half Men.’ I'm on 'Two and a Half Men,’ and I don't want to be on it,” said Jones in a videotaped testimonial for the Forerunner Chronicles.
The group is linked to the Voice of Prophecy Seventh-Day Adventist church in Los Angeles, where Jones worships.
“Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth,” Jones pleaded.
Jones has played Jake, a sarcastic kid who lives with his single dad (Jon Cryer), since the hugely successful series launched in 2003. As one of the highest-paid teens, he takes home around $8 million annually, about $350,000 per episode.
Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones and Charlie Sheen during the early days of 'Two and a Half Men.'
And until last year, Jones shared the screen with Charlie Sheen — one of Hollywood’s most notorious hedonists.
After he suffered a public meltdown in 2011, Sheen’s character was killed off, and he was replaced by Ashton Kutcher.
In the video, Jones says the show is part of the plan of "the enemy"— presumably Satan.
Angus T. Jones with guest star Miley Cyrus on "Two and a Half Men."
Jones, who has grown more religious, may now find the show he calls
"filth" too sexual for his tastes. In a recent episode, Cyrus played
a visiting friend’s daughter who noted the bed of Ashton Kutcher's
character and trilled: "I bet you could do some serious drilling on a workbench like this."
"If I am doing any harm, I don't want to be here," he said.
"I don't want to be contributing to the enemy's plan. … You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that. I know I can't. I'm not OK with what I'm learning, what the Bible says and being on that television show."
Alas, he said, his hands are tied. "I am under contract for another year so it is not too much of a decision on my part. I know God has me there for a reason for another year.”
Jones says that he went to a Christian school but wasn’t really religious. His parents’ marriage broke up a couple of years ago, he said, and he fell into temptation.
Jon Cryer as Alan, Angus T. Jones as Jake, and Charlie Sheen as Charlie.
Jones now says he can't be a "true God-fearing person" and be on a show like
"Two and a Half Men," which he describes as the work of "the enemy."
“Two and a Half Men” may be too sexy for Jones.
* In a recent episode, Miley Cyrus played a visiting friend’s daughter who noted Kutcher’s bed and trilled: "I bet you could do some serious drilling on a workbench like this."
* Last year, Jon Cryer’s “squeaky-clean” character, Alan, revealed he might have fathered a child out of wedlock with his ex-wife and that, as a child, he was tricked by his brother Charlie into letting the family dog lick peanut butter off his genitals.
* During an episode earlier this month, Alan, lying in bed in a mental hospital but believing he was in the presidential suite of the Bellagio, ordered three hookers from room service, chomped on a cigar and declared that he was "winning," a reference to Sheen's public rants after he was axed from “Men.”

Oh Kay. Maybe Kirk Cameron can give him a job after 2 & 1/2 ends. Unless he just wants to get out of acting.

Re: Two and a Half Men
I've never been in a well paying job that offered security in a very unpredictable profession such as acting yet that was such a drain on my psyche or thought I was too good for that I just had to get the hell out.
I caught an interesting documentary not too long ago called, "That Guy... Who Was in That Thing". It featured 16 actors, just about all of whom anyone who watched enough TV or movies has seen and at least would recognize their face (but wouldn't know their name).
The point is that a successful career in Hollywood is a very rare thing and to just walk away from a hit and try to bite the hand that feeds you is probably not the best career move.

Re: Two and a Half Men
Wouldn't surprise me if this kid is being manipulated by someone after his big paycheck. Hope he has some sensible friends who can talk to him. Sounds like his parents divorce may have played some role too & if that's the case being taken advantage of would probably be easier. Then again maybe he just wants out of his contract

Re: Two and a Half Men
He's barely in the show now anyway. With the introduction of Ashton/Walden, they've severely reduced his and just about every other supporting role on the show. Now it's just a Walden and Alan buddy comedy.
But yeah...I immediately thought Kirk Cameron too when he went off on that tangent.
