True. And as much as I spend on cable per month, I almost feel I'm ripping myself off by not waiting to catch it there. Truth be told, though, I wasn't in any rush to see The King's Speech. I can wait for HBO.

I enjoyed James Franco and Ann Hathaway hosting the Oscars but for the most part they were pretty boring. I want to see the King's Speech, I like Colin Firth he is a top notch actor.

The only person I was interested in seeing was Melisa Leo. Loved her many years ago on All My Children and I thought she was great in the fighter. I was really hoping she would win. I tuned out after that.

I often use an axiom in my movie blurbs "I enjoy bad movies."

I read that everyone was raving about The Kings Speech and Black Swan being such well-made movies, yet they did not interest me at all. I enjoyed Season of the Witch and Love & Other Drugs. Most times I don't care for drama, just want the escapism of going into a dark theater and indulging in far away fantasy for a couple hours.

So I'll get into the Academy Awards when they have Best Poorly Made Matinee Entertainment category.
