Do you keep very many house plants/flowers around your place?

In another lifetime I used to be very much into plants and kept a jungle in my house, especially if there were lots of windows to support it. It was good to have a ficus Benjamina or even a banana plant growing with ferns and arums inside in the temerate zone winters.

Even had a "Florida Room" here (glorified porch with jalousie windows on two sides) that was all greenery.

But now I have given it up. I can look out my widow and see greenery year round. Bouganvillia is blooming right now.

I had a spider plant last fall, but it didn't get enough sunlight I guess (despite my having kept it in front of the window) and wound up turning brown and dying.

My wife and I are like Agent Orange when it comes to house plants. We can kill anything.

Not at all. Poor things would be completely dead.

Only fake. The real ones will die if I'm the only one left to care for them....

I have some but my apartment doesn't get a lot of sunight, so it an be tough to keep plants. I face north and rarely get direct sunlight.

I do well with my garden, but for some reason house plants I don't do too well with. My sister has had some of her house plants for 15 to 20 years. That floors me when I can't keep one for a few months...lol

Plants freak here. I have about 20, and that is just the ones I keep inside during the winter. In the summer, when I can garden outside, on the balcony, the number can reach 60.

However, I have an extremely sunny apartment, and most of my plants are hardy and low maintenance.
