Do you think that Todd........

Should legally change his name from Manning to Lord? He is Victor Lord's son and Viki and Tina's Brother so why dosen't he carry the family name, its his birthright? With Todd being the only Male in the Lord family I think he should carry on the family name or it dies with Viki and Tina. What do you think? I mentioned this once awhile back on another board and I got blasted for even suggesting it.

Back in the day when Todd found out who and what his real father was,he hated him as much as he hated the man who raised him.I think in his case it was a matter of taking the money but sticking with the name he'd all of his life.

I wholeheartedly agree. The "Lord" name built the show and yet no one uses it except for Dorian, who only married into the family for money. I always thought Todd's last name should have been Manning-Lord. They had the perfect opportunity to do this back in 2004. There was an episode where Todd learned that 'Todd Manning' no longer technically existed because when he returned as Walker, he had his previous identity legally wiped out of existence. I always thought they should have used THAT loophole they created to rename him Todd Manning-Lord.

Of course, that would have done nothing but further fuel that TSJ-Todd haters even more "we want Todd Manning back...not this Todd Manning-Lord guy..." but screw all that. They've been trying to come up with ways to run him off the show for 7 years now and they haven't been able to yet.

In the meantime, I want Jack to further discover his gluttonous side, realize that he's a Lord and all the power that name wields and start calling himself Jack Manning-Lord, just to play up his status.

Jack is such regular Todd Mini-Me and I shudder to think of what this kid will be when he's older which will probably happen before the end of the year since soaps have no real time frame.

Very true.I ff through a lot so maybe I missed it,but have they ever shown any scenes of Todd even trying to establish a relationship with the boy?These days,he seems all wrapped up in Kelly and Dani.

It's almost as if the Lord family doesn't really exist anymore. Like they've all been acquired by other families, either through marriage, adoption, etc., etc.

The show seems so intent on focussing on teens and newbies that the hard core families get lost in the shuffle.Bo getting shot is the only reason the Buchanans are together again and once he's home,they'll scatter again.

Good points and Manning-Lord would definetly work, at least it would bring the Lord name back into the show where it belongs. I think Victor's illegitimate Son Tony had a different name when it was discovered that he was a Lord and he changed his name to Lord. Of course the writers had to kill him off so there went another opportunity to carry on the Lord name.

I know all about the Todd haters but I have always been firm that I like TSJ Todd much better then the RH version, the RH version was dark, moody and one dimensional. TSJ pumped some life into his version of Todd and I hope when ATWT is cancelled, they have no notion of bringing RH back, that would really make me very mad!

Jack could definetly pull that off calling himself Jack Manning-Lord, imagine Dorian's reaction to that!!!!

Last I saw of Sam was about a month ago.

In the beginning it was the Lord's, the Craig's The Wolek's and the Segal's. The Craigs are gone and so are the Woleks and Segals but Viki, Todd and Tina (Tina in the background of course) are still very much a part of the show.
