Chris, I'll give you a serious answer. I know some people's opinion of him are colored by his politics later in life but he wasn’t the worst actor in history. Well, perhaps I would feel differently if I’d seen more. I’m basing my opinion on his performance in King’s Row and a few others that I can’t recall off the top of my head. I think it’s very interesting that he was a staunch Democrat as a younger man and his conservative conversion didn’t happen until later in his life.

I've seen him in a couple, Million Dollar Baby from 1940, which was a great comedy, and he starred alongside the Dead End Kids who later became the East Side Kids in their last gritty, serious movie, Hell's Kitchen, which is not on video and is seldom ever shown on TV, but I LOVE that movie, but not for Ronnie's part in it. Oddly enough, I can't really remember much of his performance in it.
