Do you think hair pieces look silly on balding men? If a man starts losing his hair, should he accept it....or cover it up? Me I probably won't ever go bald because it doesn't run in my family (premature gray does though)....but truthfully, I would be vain enough to cover it up.

I think it looks ridiculous when it's completely blatant that it's fake. Might as well leave it off.

BTW, I was prematurely bald - but I outgrew it.

I'm not losing my hair. I'm getting more head. I've been getting it cut short for a while now and when there's nothing left on top I'll get it cut as short as Shale.

I would probably just shave my head all the way bald.

If you're going to get a hairpiece, get one that matches the current color of the hair that's left on your head. Not what it used to be when you were 20 years old.

Re: Hair Pieces (Toupees)
I don't think I pay close enough attention to people's hair because I don't think I've ever been like "that's a wig" before...
My husband was going bald when I met him and he was 25. He had long hair in high school, super curly. I'm glad that I didn't meet him then because that doesn't impress me on a guy...Thankfully he was already shaving his head.
I do wonder if they don't just feel silly trying to hide their baldness though. When I was 16 I had a hair bleaching accident and ended up with a half dollar size bald spot on the front of my head. I combed my other hair over it for exactly one day before I felt so ridiculous worrying about it that I just begged my mom to shave my head. I felt SO much better once I was being honest about my appearance.

Re: Hair Pieces (Toupees)
The bad hair pieces are horrendous, and I feel bad for a guy who thinks it looks decent. A man does it best when he shaves his head or keeps short hair when his hair line starts receding.

Toupee's are a turn off. Men look better with shaved heads than in wigs.

My wife was crazy for Telly Sevalas as Kojak. She even liked kissing my bald spot.

I used to have a huge poster of him in my room when I was 14.
