| Do you read tabloid magazines (Enquirer, Star, Examiner) or watch tabloid news shows (Inside Edition, TMZ)? Do you think what they report is more valid than Hollywood tries to make it seem, or not? | |

| No I don't, and I really don't care.
As for tabloids, when have they ever gotten a story right? Why is it they didn't have the balls to publish their 'story' about Steve McQueen and Paul Newman being gay lovers until AFTER Newman died and neither remained to know about it? How many times have they said Clinton is near death and his fat nose isn't going anywhere yet?
Furthermore I really don't know why people care because most of the ones I see they're all about look who's soooo fat in this swimsuit, look who's about to die from being skinny, look at this botch job from plastic surgery, blah blah blah blah blah, who cares?

| I don't ever read the tabloids you listed, because they seem to be more embellished more often that others like In Touch and US Weekly, which I do read on occasion.
I can't stomach any of the tabloid TV shows anymore. Entertainment Tonight, for example, is just awful. They pretty much condense every story they are going to tell in the opening sequence. Then, they leave teasers for upcoming clips (that were already seen in the opening) before every break. It is such a huge waste of time.

| No and no. I might read a blog every once in a while but I can't tell if it's the truth or not (prob. not) so I don't bother to put any stock into anything they say. | |

| Nope - I consider them trash magazines that thrive on making people miserable. Same for the trash tabloid TV shows and I'm finding more and more of those shows on TLC, which has become such a trashy station. | |

| These days I can't really tell the tabloids apart from the supposedly "legitimate" news sources, most of it looks the same to me. For the most part though, I don't think the tabloids lie as much as stars would have you believe. The biggest difference between People and the Enquirer is that the former is a fluff sheet that only prints what the celebrities reveal to them, the latter exposes what they would rather you not know. | |

| Yes, I love Star Magazine! Sorry but I do. I recognize that tabloid journalism can't always be trusted and know that it's largely for entertainment value. | |

| Once in a great while I'll fall into a need for some real trash reading and pick up a Star. It's not hard to determine what's farcical and what isn't (or possibly isn't).
But, being the cynic that I am, I've always wondered if celebrities always painted a worse picture than it really is so that readers won't buy the dirt on them?

| The one I really miss is Weekly World News--- the black and white one that would print "Bat Boy Runs for President" and "Adam and Eve were aliens" "Baby with six heads is son of Bigfoot" LOL
I taught my nephew to read using these. He thought it was so cool that bigfoot and aliens were "real". One christmas I bought him a subscription and wrapped one issue in a shirt box. He got soooo excited over $1.50 paper, not realizing that he was getting them weekly. "Aunt Kir, this is my favorite present in the world!" I laughed so hard. Unfortunately, he passed them around in school, getting other kids to read, and then got in trouble when the kids thought it was real.
