When I was a little girl, I used to be infamous in my family for breaking my toys.
My parents would be pissed off or just totally disgusted at me for it.

No, not at all. I had written in a story book with crayon, that I felt so bad about, I still recall it today, and it was before I could print. The book is still at the house.

No, I don't think I ever broke any of my toys, we were taught from day one to be very careful with everything...one time though my brother made me a red penguin out of Legos and I dropped it and it broke, and everybody thought I did it on purpose and I got punished for it because he worked so hard on it. And I remember thinking it was just Legos, they weren't broken, just apart, it could be put back together again. Although I did chew up the gun my pink Power Ranger action figure carried in its weapon belt.

I had a reputation for breaking toys too. When Xmas rolled around and I would point out to my mother what I wanted from a toy catalog, she'd say...."I'm not buying that just so you can break it."

No I barely played with my toys after the first week. When I was 10 my room looked like a toy store because I just kinda stock piled them. I get bored easy.

Some were broken, some survived. I really loved my Tonka trucks. They had a well deserved rep for being tough.

Sometimes but not alot. When my toys broke it was usually cuz i did something careless like leave them on or burn them out. Wasnt that physically destructive with them.

Same here. The only beef I got from my parents was them spending money on something that I would get bored with quickly. I wouldn't play with my Christmas toys for long.

From time to time I did, but my folks were never shy about telling me how much something they bought me cost and giving me that look that it was in my best interest to handle it with care. They wouldn't have tolerated my being destructive or reckless, the things they bought me weren't mine to destroy.

I didn't really break toys when I was a kid. The issue I had was that I couldn't keep certain board games or certain toy sets in tact. I was always losing pieces or cards with stuff like that.

The only toys I ever broke or ruined were Barbie dolls. I used to cut their hair off or rip their heads or limbs off. After the first few dolls that I did that too, my mom quit buying them for me. I guess I was never a Barbie fan.

Very rarely. My parents would have had a fit if I destroyed my toys.

Really. Our parents taught us from day one to be careful with everything, about the only thing I broke aside from one Lego penguin was eggs getting them out of the fridge.
