If you are unmarried and single, does the prospect of possibly never marrying (or never marrying again) frighten you? I always said I wouldn't want to get married until my middle 30's or early 40's. When child bearing becomes less and less expected.

Nope not at all. If you have a life partner without legal bounds than that is good enough.

I would like to get married, but I'm being very mindful. I'm not naive enough to think that divorce couldn't happen, but I would like to go into it feeling good about the prospect of forever.

This. Eh, but I do have mixed feelings about never getting married though. Part of me wouldn't care and part of me would. I date and I'm not seeking to get married right now, but I don't wanna go another 20, 30 yrs and realize that the possibility has never presented itself.

I'd kind of like to get married some day. So yeah, not marrying isn't really the result I'd be gunning for.

If it never happens again, then I don't know how I feel about it one way or another. But right now I'm spent on the idea of marriage and am fine with being unmarried for at least another 10 years.

Even though I don't like the idea of never getting married, I'm not doing anything to speed up the process. I guess the possibility of never marrying is something I may have to make peace with.
