If your nine or ten year old developed a coffee fetish, would you allow it to continue?

Re: Kids drinking coffee.
my 7 yo suddenly wanted to drink coffee, and beer, for the shock value I think. We let him have a drink of beer when my husband had one, and he realized it's gross. We let him have a whole mug of decaf and since then he hasn't wanted coffee.

Yeah I don't know why any kid would WANT coffee, I tasted it as a kid and I hated it. So if they wanted to drink it, they'd be having to get it themselves because I wouldn't have coffee in the house.

When I was a kid, I occasionally drank coffee and my parents were ok with it.

Same here. I prob. would let them drink it ever so often but they definitely won't be Starbucks addicts. They're not going to have it for breakfast every morning.

My daughter gets a frappachino when I get one. They both drink coffee in the morning. It's been proven that coffee in the morning for children with ADHD is good.

When my step daughter was 11, I always had free coupons for cappuccino, and got it for her. I wouldn't let my son do that now...I am older and wiser.

I prefer to keep my kids from getting addicted to stuff like that.
