    I catch pieces of it whenever it's on, I keep meaning to see the whole thing but never get around to it.

    IMO...it's Taylor's best film, although she won Oscars for "Butterfield 8" and "Virginia Woolf".


    She wasn't considered among the Hollywood era greatest actresses; like Hepburn/Davis. Nor the sexiest, such as Ms. Monroe. Or perhaps...although beautiful....as beautiful as Grace Kelly. But apparently she had something

    I believe she became ill at the very beginning of the film's production and it was that illness that kept her off the plane that killed her husband, Mike Todd. As a matter of fact, she didn't return to the set until 53 years ago today.
