LMAO! I half expected Freddy to pop out at any minute.

That thing was so paranoid and offensive that I almost want to laugh at its ignorance. Had it instead been a film about the dangers of kids talking to strangers and pedophiles lurking about, it could have had merit.

As ugly as it is, I think it DOES have merit in that it serves as a very real reminder of how ignorant social perceptions about homosexuality used to be, and how far we've come since that trash was made. Even though there are still some who hold ignorant attitudes like that about gays, this sort of film couldn't be made and subjected to school children today like it was back then. I feel sorry for the young boys of the 1960s and 1970s who were struggling with being gay AND who had to endure being shown this crap at school.

Yes it is but part of me almost wants to laugh at how ridiculous the whole thing is. I heard this movie was shown in classrooms all the way up into the 1980s. I'm so glad that this debauchery is now commercially snubbed, the ACLU and gay activists groups would be on the backs of any teacher that dared showed this today in a encouraging way.

I dunno. I think the detective narrating the story was eyeballing that kid's ass when they walked passed each at the entrance to the police station in the beginning.

From the cars it looks like 1959, a full decade before the Stonewall Riots, which marks the Gay Civil Rights era. Most str8 ppl don't have a clue the struggles that gay ppl had to go thru in most of the 20th Century; due to propaganda lies like this. Nazi's did the same with Jews in the '20s as did the Southerners with blacks.

I never saw this flick in high school, tho it was that time of my life. I still hadn't internalized that my love for my best friend may have been sexual - the 'fact' was homos were sick so that possibility got suppressed. By '67 I was admitting to that desire (Ironically because of an article in Playboy about Fire Island).

Notice not one thing said about Father Murphy, who always played B'ball with the boys?

I don't know where, but I saw a clip of this before. I agree that the whole thing was so silly that it became just funny to watch, but I guess it's a nice measuring stick about how far societal attitudes have evolved since the time it was made.

...also, the title is "Boys Beware". As if short haired lesbian dykes weren't trying to get their hands on young maidens either!
