| Yeah I used to watch it. I hated that first season with all those extra girls, and I wasn't that fond of the last 2 seasons with Cloris Leachmen. | |

| Used to be one of my favorite shows. Then (like Diff'rent Strokes) the local stations stopped playing it, and I went like a decade without seeing the show at all....then when one of the cable networks aired it again, it just wasn't the same. Suddenly it was corny. | |

According to the shows E! True Hollywood Story, the Blair character was originally supposed to be a sassy, tough talking girl from Texas. During the audition, though, Lisa Whelchel delivered a line in a very stuck up sounding way and they wound up rewriting the character around the premise of her being more of a snob. If she was brassier in the first season, it was probably while they still had the original premise in mind. | |
