I saw this before. Monica pretty much hit the nail on the head as far as their images are concerned.

She's right about how there hasn't been a "three" like that since. The prelude to the three of them was Shanice and Tracie Spencer a handful of years earlier, but they (Aaliyah, Monica, Brandy) were the last three who were more about the feel good music and fan adoration; the characters who came after them were less sincere and cozy, and seemed more like cold, robotic tools created to saturate media and make money.
