Should the picture of bin Laden be released?

There is debate over whether the pictures of Bin Laden's corpse should be presented for the public to see, I say hell yes, they announced his death so quickly and then it was over, I want to see it for msyelf so we know for a fact it was him to make sure.

I hear Donald Trump is demanding to see the death certificate.

I think they're going to have to do it. I know some people will never be convinced. No matter how many birth certificates have been released they're crying "photoshop". This won't be any different. But they'll keep the tin foil companies in business.

From what's being said the pictures are fairly graphic which people should expect. But they need to do it as soon as possible.

It's inevitable. In order to make it real, and not seem like some overblown conspiracy, they have to release the photo; and I want to see it.

President Barack Obama has decided to release at least one photo of Osama bin Laden's corpse ... this according to The Drudge Report.



So far, no word on when the White House plans to release the first image.

A senior U.S. official tells CNN ... there are 3 sets of photos that were
taken from the day OBL was killed: 1) Photos of OBL's body taken at a
hangar moments after the raid. 2) Photos of the burial at sea. 3)
Photos of the raid itself.

The official explains ... the photo
that most clearly shows OBL's face is also the most graphic -- due to
the massive head wound across his face. Officials do not believe it is
suitable to run in the media, however it's the photo that most clearly
identifies the son of a bitch.

I say no. There is no reason for those gruesome pictures to be released just to satisfy the minds of the conspiracy theorists. In fact, even IF they released the pictures, that still wouldn't stop them from concocting their own scenarios about how Bin Laden is really still alive and living in Florida. Pictures can be photoshopped after all! In any case, they are apparently pictures of OBL with a bullet in his head. Kids don't need to be seeing that all over the newspapers or online and in the interest of national security, all that will do is enrage the radical islamists even more. It will serve as proof that we are an "evil" country who propagates images of death to the muslim world. We don't need to be giving the any fuel to use against us. That is why Bin Laden was actually given a proper Islamic furneral but not given a burrial site, so that he wouldn't be a martyr.

Excuse me? Is it evil that there are pictures immortalized of Mussolini shot and hanging from his heels alongside his mistress and three comrades? Or what about the morgue pictures of Bonnie and Clyde that have been around for over 70s years? And the video that's never going to die of Kennedy's head being blown open. Or how about the pictures of all the Vets who were blown apart during war? That's okay but to see Bin Laden dead is evil?

Yes, the absolutely should be.

It's not something I want to see. I'm easily squeamish but I'd have this reaction about anyone. I mean - I wont' usually throw up but sometimes even seeing blood splatters on the road after an accident leaves me averting my eyes.

If people want to see it, then I think they have a right but I'm too squeamish for things like that, especially if they're graffic scenes.

Who knows what the picture looks like, but word is that part of his brain is visible. It should be released, but personally I'm not interested in seeing it. But as has been said already there will inevitably be naysayers and doubters doubting it's him, but who cares. Just put it out.

Apparently it's not going to happen.

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama says the White House will not release a photo of Osama bin Laden's body.

Obama made the remarks during an interview Wednesday with CBS' "60 Minutes."

The White House had been weighing the release of a photo, in part to offer proof that bin Laden was killed during a raid on his compound early Monday. However, officials had cautioned that the photo was gruesome and could be inflammatory.

U.S. forces stormed the compound in Pakistan where bin Laden was hiding, then shot and killed the al-Qaida leader.
