Do you keep a journal/diary?

Hi all,

I was wondering if any of you keep a journal or a diary? I don't mean a blog, I mean an actual journal where you pour out all your deepest thoughts and no one sees it but you.

I started keeping one about a month ago and I find that once I actually "remove" the thought or whatever from myself I can see it from a different angle and actually learn from it. I try to write it in at least 2 or 3 times a week.

Does anyone here keep one? And how often?

Tried but no. I think it's great for some people but not me. Don't really need something that can come back to bite me on the ass anyway.

I used to when I was in my teens and early 20's but I stopped. I still have them, they are all handwritten. I remember putting things down on paper used to make me feel good when I was feeling low.

I tried, but nope. I don't have the patience or time to write about my life.

I did every single day from 7th to 11th grade. I wish I had kept up with it, at least some.

I used to try to keep one, but could never remain consistent in updating it. Months would sometimes go by before I followed up the last entry.

During my junior and senior years of high school, my English teacher had us keep journals of daily topics which she would read and grade for credit. Other than that, I haven't keep a journal or diary since then.
