What's your opinion of country music? Is there any country music you're a fan of?

I am. But only of real country music which means no Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift (although she does have 1 song I like from about 4 years ago) or other assorted crap passing for it these days. Country radio has become unbearable.
Like George Strait, Alan Jackson, Haggard back in the day, this new kid..Bradley Gaskin has impressed me. I like that hardcore country. But listen to everything from blues (my real love) to jazz, country & rock. I have a very eclectic taste & can transition from one genre to the next in 1 song.

I'm not a fan per se, but I respect it. Country music is a lot like R&B.

^^^ I agree. Country is a very pure form of music. I like some of it, like Kenny Rogers.....

I don't like rhinestones but there's a lot I do like. Someone turned me on to Robert Earl Keen. Much of what's on Youtube isn't the best quality. Enjoy the music but don't watch the video or you might get seasick.

Yes, I have been learning to like it. I'll likely never turn on to it as much as blues and other genres, but it is what I listen to at work. I like both old and new; however, I don't like it when a "country" song sounds too much like something else. If I want pop music then I'll switch to pop.
On the radio the other day I was pleasantly surprised at a likable song of Taylor Swift's that was actually a country song.
I like Darius Rucker. Was a huge Hootie fan but he pulls off C&W really well.
