I would prefer a fan if its not hot and HUMID and like 100 degrees.

When it's hot we have to use both because apparently turning the AC down 2 degrees is going to make the bill skyrocket

Depends on our comfort level. If we can get by without turning on the AC we will go with open windows and fans but living upstairs it tends to be warmer for us.

i would prefer ac for my room, but dont have one, so im left with a fan... as for my car, i almost always use the ac.

Depends on how miserably hot it is. Probably the fan, though. If the AC isn't set just right, you're going to get cold, and have to do a bunch of temperature adjusting and shutting on/off.

The fan/ceiling fan will work when it's not too humid out....as long as I can get a somewhat cool breeze from the fan air, I'll work with that. I put the fan in my window and seriously, it can get just as cold as an air conditioner if it's not too hot. But when that shit gets unbearable, best believe the A/C is coming on.

Sometimes in the Winter I can get away with using just the fan, but most of the time the A/C is running even then.

I prefer air conditioning. Fans just throw off more heat.
