VERY different than the Robin Williams movie but also very good, and a lot funnier in some regards. Has anybody else read this one?

Nope. I didn't even know there was a book for that movie. Now I gotta go find it at the library. I always try to read the books that movies were made from.

The author's name is Anne Fine.
I had known for a while that the movie was based on a book, I had figured a children's book, and boy was I wrong, unless the author has a very unique idea of what qualifies as children's reading material,
