If you found out you had a 'love' child, would you seek to know him/her?

Men: if you found out that you had fathered a grown (or nearly grown) child from a previous affair/relationship that you never knew about, would you search for him or her?

Women, I'm not leaving you out. Imagine you lapsed into a year long coma, but didn't know you were pregnant at the time. You delivered the baby while unconscious, and it was taken from you. Would you search for him or her?

Yes I would and I would hope the child would seek me out as well.

There is that nagging feeling about my brief sexual encounters with a lesbian friend in 1980. She went back to her GF and years later it dawned on me that I might have been 'used.' I can't locate Dede, but if any offspring knows my name, I can be found on the Web.

Of course. If I even thought I had a child out there, I would do all I could to find out the truth and to know them.

No I don't think I would. Any love child I could possibly have would be over 30. What would the point be? I'm not their "father". I was just a sperm donor who had no clue they existed. If they sought me out, I would be accepting of them (after I had confirmation that I was "Dad").

I would most definitely search for my child and I'd go after those who took the child from me. I'd hope that my brother and sister-in-law would step forward to raise the child if I was in a coma but if social services took the child, they'd be facing a lawsuit. I can't see my brother letting his niece or nephew go that easily, though, nor would my parents let go their grandchild.
