I've always believed, ever since I saw Pump up the Volume, they need to mind their own damn business, if that makes any sense.

To me they seem very intrusive. However, I have not read much on them to back up my comment. It is just a perception.

It is very intrusive but I wouldn't want to see it disbanded unless there was an alternative method for consumer protection put in it's place. It's the FCC that protects against telephone "slamming" and maintains the national "do not call" list.

Pros and cons like everything else. Best thing to do is start hammering out the issues it has and leave the good stuff.

The FCC is a disaster. But the cinematic equal is repulsive.

I'm all for the FCC when it comes to things like telephone communications. They become a problem, though, when it comes to internet interference and television standards and practices.
