"I'm Breathless" is definitely a studio album - and a really good one at that! I've read that there are three songs on the album that are played in the film, I haven't actually seen the movie myself though. But yeah "IB" is definitely a studio album!

Defintely a studio album. Dunno why so many fans wanna call it a soundtrack. I think only 3 songs on it were in the movie!

"I'm Breathless" is definitely a studio album. And it's a damn great one, too. Only "Sooner Or Later," "More," and "What Can You Lose" were in the movie "Dick Tracy." The rest weren't. So technically, not a soundtrack.

I consider it a studio album, but I think even Madonna herself sees it as a soundtrack. Once in an interview she said that her favorite album was the soundtrack album she did for DT.

Speaking of IB...

When you all bought it, how many of you knew that it'd be an album of period music? I remember when I bought it back in '90, I thought it would be another regular album of music that sounded like Vogue. Wasn't really expecting showtunes.
