| My son is in Jr. High now, so this is a non-issue for me. But in prior years when he was in elementary, parents actually bought end of the year gifts for teachers. I did not. I don't think that is needed.
Do you? Thoughts?

| Nope. Never bought presents for their teachers. I don't remember doing that when I was in school either. | |

I understand the Christmas gifts for teachers, but for the end of the year, I was not about to do it.

| I sent my teachers a card at Christmas, that was the extent of it with me. | |

| I think it's really up to the child and parent. Sometimes just a nice, heart-felt card can be great. | |

| You do bring up a good point that a card is nice. | |

| I know that sometimes the words someone has spoken or written have meant more than the gift they've given. Not that I don't appreciate the gift, but the words can stay with you a long time. | |

Me either. I don't think it's necessary.

| It probably depends on the parents relationship with the teacher but I never did. | |

| I don't think it's necessary. When I was little I occasionally made little things for teachers I liked, but that was it. But when I got older I was babbling incoherently at the fact I never had to see my teachers again. | |

| If you or your child were especially fond of the teacher, why not but I wouldn't feel obligated. | |
