We've talked about gas prices before, but I'm curious to know if your driving habits are ever influenced by how much gas is at the moment? In other words, when it's cheaper, do you drive more? When it's higher, do you drive less? Or does it not matter either way?

I don't drive much at all, so I never paid attention to gas prices much at all. But here recently when $30 is getting me very little gas, I plan trips to the other side of town better so I don't go more times in a month than I need to.

The price hasn't kept me home yet. What little discretionary driving I do doesn't amount to much anyway.

I usually stay within a certain mile-radius of home for everyday things, but I also plan my errands so that I make one, big loop as opposed to constant back-and-forth driving.
Everytime the gas prices rise, I'm always reminded of that old John Ritter movie, "Americathon" where the USA has gone bankrupt over gas/oil, all cars are at a standstill and travel takes place by bicycle or foot. LOL

Much as I'd like to sound off about it like a disgruntled economist, not really.

LOL--if I didn't have to drive teenagers all over creation or live in a place where winter lasts way too long, I'd be riding my bike more often, too!

Same here.....somewhat. Places that I would normally just drive to, if it's not that far and I don't need to....I'll walk or even catch the bus/train. I call it keeping my NYC public transportation commuter skills honed. Or sightseeing.
