Chris Meloni leaving SVU!

First day of the new season is going to be a dark day for this show. If he has to go, they should put Munch up on the front line partnering with Olivia instead of bringing in somebody new.

I have to start watching this steadily instead of here and there I liked the show a lot.

Isn't M.H. going to be less than full time as well?

I heard something about her only being up for 13 episodes of next season. You know, the writing's been pretty bad for the last couple of seasons but I think this is really going to be the beginning of the end.

The show is dead. SVU is nothing without Chris, imo. Mariska can only carry it so far. You need them both.

Just cancel the show. It wont be SVU w/o Chris Meloni.

Why is he leaving the show? The ratings are still pretty decent.

I heard a rumor of Jennifer Love Hewitt taking over for Mariska. Not many cast changes in SVU, we are lucky to have had them all this time.

I am a Belzer fan, in his forties, there was no one sexier.

So disappointing that Christopher is leaving. I can't imagine the show w/o him and I hope they don't kill him off.

I could care less about Chris leaving especially since I don't/didn't watch this or Chris & Mariska..in fact I hate that the show was always about them it wasn't fair to the other cast memebers who got pushed to the side for them and I think these changes will do the show some good maybe it'll give the other underused and forgotten characters some storylines and have them shine. Maybe even the writers will write better storylines too. I'm sorry to the fans who are fanatics of Mariska & Chris, but the forgotten and underused characters deserve their time on SVU more than Chris & Mariska they've had their time for years now it's time for the others to shine now they've been neglected too much, so I say bring on the changes I'm ready.
