    I use my land-line all the time and only use my cell for calling my Grandmother, since that's the only phone she can hear me on! My cell basically fills in for when I can't use my land-line, i.e. if I'm not physically at home.

    I think they should make cell phones like this for us old folk--LOL:

    I have a landline which is my main phone to make and receive calls.

    I have a Tracfone cell which I carry for use away from home or other landline, but it is turned off until I need it. I only get incoming calls when I expect them and leave it on.

    BTW, my landline is not one of those electronic cordless things either. When the electricity goes out (like in a hurricane) I still have phone service. And the last big storm knocked out all the cell towers, so my landline came in really handy.

    That was the thing that always bugged me about having digital phone service. If a storm knocked the power out & you didn't have a cell you were SOL.

    I never use the landline anymore except for when my cell is charging. Its THERE but I don't think anybody uses it really. We all use our cells. The landline is just there for the sake of being there. I dont even know the # to it offhand.
