| Did you parents ever forbid you from from watching certain TV shows as a kid? For some odd reason when I was a kid my father told me I couldn't watch Three's Company and Alice. | |

| Umm....can't think of any. My parents pretty much let me watch whatever I want, as long as it came on before 8:30 because in grade school, that was my bedtime. On the weekends, I could stay up as late as I wanted. | |

| The Simpsons... ha. My dad thought it was an evil ploy to teach children bad things, since the fact that it's a cartoon is supposed to lure us in | |

| I could watch very little around my dad. I was really too busy for TV when I was at home. My dad almost threw out our VCR when mom let me watch a movie that had a sex scene. | |

| My mom didn't let me watch the first episode of In Living Color, so when I went to school the next day and everybody was talking about it, I had to fake like I saw it too. But that restriction didn't last but for that one episode. | |

| They wouldn't let me watch late night sketch comedy like Benny Hill or SNL until I was into my teens. | |

| When I was a kid in Pleasantville, TV was only G rated, family suitable programming. The decadence you kids grew up with had yet to be discovered. | |

For the most part. Can't remember anything objectionable on TV when I was a lad. By the time there was I was beyond parental control.

| I too am in the generation whose parents had nothing to object to when it came to TV shows.
The only arguing I did with my mom was about time; she wanted to get rid of me around 9:30pm, but I was a night owl and wanted to stay up and watch TV.
