Is there any longstanding family tradition that continues to live on through you?

How have you followed in the footsteps of the generations that came before you in your family?

Nope. I blew that all away when I gave birth at 28 instead of 16,17 or 18, thereby making it impossible for me to be a grandmother in my 30's.

A lot of the old world traditions are fast fading as Italians here are becoming more "Americanized". I still hold on to some of the traditions and so does my family.

I don't think my family had any traditions for me to fail to uphold in the first place.Chris wrote:Is there any longstanding family tradition that continues to live on through you?

IDK of any 'family' traditions but I sorta dumped all the standard American cultural traditions.
I am not a Christian.
I became a vegetarian.
I loved a man openly (Others may have done this downlow).
I married a black woman.
Those are all first, non-traditional things that I've done.
Now I had sex with two second cousins (one male one female) so my generation may be starting a new Family Tradition.

Some food traditions from both sides but for the most part, that's it. My ancestors brought those traditions with them at the turn of the last century and we've kept them alive, though not to the extend that they did.
