Do you collect anything? (aside from dust! LOL) Tell about it here!
I collect insulators--those are those glass and ceramic things they used to put on telephone poles to attach the wires to, years and years ago. Most are now found in antique/junk shops, yard sales and in Grandpa's attic, but it's become sort of a cult-hobby with collectors. Many times you can still see some atop telephone poles along older railroad corridors.
Some rarer insulators can sell for thousands of dollars, and us fruitcakes even have our own insulator magazine and National Association as well as local chapters.
Annually, there's a travelling "show" that lands in different parts of the country, where the ultra serious collectors go to buy and sell their finds. I've been to one last year that came near my area and it was a blast--I spent way too much money, but I had a ball, browsing the sale tables!
Here's some photos of my collection:

I used to collect vinyl records but I stopped. The only thing i collect now are movies that I like. I got rid of a lot of stuff that I used to collect.

I don't really collect anything anymore, but when I was little I used to collect stickers and put them in a big "sticker book". I also used to collect coins, and I still have that collection.

Hyacinth, really neat looking collection. I once had an old bottle collection - found most in an old outhouse site in New Orleans - for some reason they threw glass bottles in there.
When I was in my 20s I collected guns. Gave them all away when I dropped out (except the flintlock pistol which was too beautiful. Since gave that to my grandson)
Went thru the Vinyl LP Stereo collecting in the 70s, but those are too heavy to lug around - gave them to a brother-in-law who still has a turntable.
Now I have 544 DVDs around my apartment, so I guess that is a collection.
Oh, and a library of books on sexuality/nudity.
Does collecting digital porn pics from the Web count? Got more of those than I can count.

^^I suppose whatever you collect, counts as a collection--whatever floats your boat! LOL
I've been collecting my insulators since I was in high school and have amassed a couple hundred of them. I'm always on the prowl for the really different ones, and I want a cobalt blue glass one, but those sell for minimum $300 each! Yikes!
I love them, but I also have made smart choices, price-wise, too on everything.

LOL --Just to veer off topic for a moment, your post reminded me of this pamphlet that was passed out to the residents in my city when we switched over to a new waste pick-up company and got special trash-totes for rubbish and recycle materials:
(Check the highlighted sections!)
Seriously??? I don't even want to know who would have human remains hanging around their house, and to think they'd need to be told not to put them in the recycle bin!!

I just added another insulator to my collection--finally a cobalt blue one! I won it on Ebay last weekend and it just arrived yesterday. After years of searching and purposely passing them by because they're outrageously expensive (300-400 dollars!), I snagged one for about 1/4 of what they normally sell for! I'm soooooo happy right now!

OOH Pretty! BTW, I think the cobalt itself is what makes them expensive. A lot of cobalt glass seems to be high priced.

I thought that was a dildo when I first glanced at it.
