Mitt Romney is the 2012 GOP front-runner; do you think he has a shot?

It's almost a year and a half until the next election. Anything can happen. If people think that Pres. Obama has re-election sewn up they're making a big mistake. If the bad economic news from this past week is more than a hiccup in the recovery and we start hemorrhaging jobs again people aren't going to care that they killed bin Laden on his watch. Pres. Clinton's people were right: It's the economy, stupid.

He might have a shot but he's not very exciting to me so I hope we learn from the mistakes of 08 and pick somebody who's actually exciting. I think the reason he's the most popular is cause he's the leftovers. I want someone new and exciting. Somebody who can really talk circles around The Reader. Romney doesn't feel like that guy to me (although, I think, even comatose, he'd be a more sound leader than we currently have). I'd support him if he got the nomination but I got my eyes on others. It's a long way until decision time and the field's growing wider. FM likes.

Plus, Romney is nice looking. Do not think that is a frivolous observation, just a frivolous motivation for ppl to vote for someone. Hell, they voted for Ron Reagan and Schwartzengrabber.

I was always afraid that David Duke would run for office, because it ain't just the racist bigots who would vote for him, but ppl who liked his appealing face.

Mitt Romney makes me embarrassed to come from Boston.

I hear the repubs don't care that much for him. Dont really care though cause I'm a democrat.

Considering that we're in a country that elected George W. Bush for not one term, but two terms, I think he has a shot. The bar doesn't get much lower than that.

too much of a flip-flopper for my tastes..

Too soon to tell, but I think he does have a shot....in fact, I think he's their best shot of all the names that have been tossed around so far.
