I thought this might be interesting. Apparently, a certain tone is audible only if you're under thirty. Being thirty-two, I can't hear a thing; can you?

I'm 44 and I don't know if I couldn't hear it just because of the age-thing, or if it's because I have slight hearing loss anyway due to years of working in a laboratory with constant white noise from all the machinery, or both!

LOL, I'm glad it wasn't one of those goofs like the email that tells you to look closely at the screen and then a ghoul pops out to scare the crap out of you but instead you turn the volume way up because you expect it's going to be difficult to hear anything. I listen via ear phones at work so that would have made it worse.

My son had a ring tone like that on his phone. He could hear it fine, but I could only hear it when he had it right by my ear and I knew it was coming.

I can usually hear high frequencies, but I didn't hear anything there.
