Are you good on kitchen knives, or could you use another set? What brands do you like? Why? How do you care for them? How do you store them? How do you keep them sharp? How many do you really need? What do you look for in a good knife?

21 questions chris? j/k
my roommate i think bought a new set this past winter, i believe.. i have no idea what brands she favors, how she cares for them, they are stored in the holders they came in, not sure how often she sharpens them, think we need all of them, i guess she looks for them just to be sharp.
i myself dont own any knives

If they cut, I'm happy.

I have one serrated stainless knife that does most of my cutting in the kitchen. I wash it and store it in the dish rack.
I have a couple of carbon steel paring knives that I use for special cutting that the serrated knife is too flimsy to do, but that's it for my cutlery.
I don't care for French knives in my house. They are beautiful in design, but remind me of the perfect, gruesome murder weapon that I would hate to have to confront.

Re: Kitchen knives
I usually buy a new set every 3 years since for some reason they always seem to disappear. I don't know what brands I just see them in the store and buy them.

Re: Kitchen knives
Uh, I just have set of knives. When they don't cut anymore, I'll get a new set. I used to work for this company called Cutco for like 3 weeks....selling their kitchenware. They have a pretty good product. Kind of expensive though.

Re: Kitchen knives
Our steak knives are not that great. We need to get new. For cooking knives, I have Rada knives, and they are pretty cool.
