Both were released around the same time, and dealt with the similar concept of space exploration disaster. Did you see either of them? If you saw them both, which do you think was the better film?

Saw them both and have them both on DVD, (along with Space Cowboys, The Day After Tomorrow, Knowing, and 2012).
I think Deep Impact was the more serious film with more serious actors and Armageddon more frivolous, especially in the characters' interrelations.
Bruce Willis playing an overprotective psycho father? Granted they got some backwater types like that in the oil drilling business, but not since the '60s. They were going too much for the cliche relations, old daddy against the young guy (Ben Affleck) courting or bedding his daughter. That was a turn off, played like a romantic comedy movie in the midst of a world disaster flick.

I recorded Deep Impact after it premiered on HBO, but never bothered to watch it. If I can get my old VCR to act right, I may watch it this weekend.

I saw both of them and I liked Deep Impact better. It just seemed more realistic than Armageddon. Liv Tyler was in Armageddon so that made it worth seeing.

I was working at Blockbuster Video when they were both released to video. I never saw Deep Impact, but I remember the box cover. I saw Armageddon and liked it alright.

I haven't seen Deep Impact in its entirety. I've seen Armageddon and liked it. Gotta add Deep Impact to my Netflix queue now.

Deep Impact was better. I saw Armageddon twice but had to quit watching the second time because it just seemed to stupid to keep watching. I enjoy Bruce Willis, but being in this atrocity was too much. On the other hand, I have seen Deep Impact several times and see something different each time. Astronomers give the nod to Deep Impact for greater accuracy over Armageddon.
