I just posted about the movie Trainspotting in the movie area. Its about heroin addicts trying to survive. Do any of you know any drug addicts? Hardcore addicts like coke, crack heroin or meth. I work in a hospital so from time to time I see addicts come through and its always a sad & uncomfortable sight.

I knew an ex addict - my partner Jim.
I knew lots of ppl in the '70s who seemed strung out on certain drugs, mostly meth and other speeds. Doesn't have them nodding in an alleyway - just the opposite.
However, I've encountered more alcoholics, which ppl conveniently forget that they are "drug addicts."

Hard core, no, but using, yes, and also some who are recovering - no longer using but have in the past.
