Could you function a day without your mobile device?

To answer the question: I couldn't.

A day without my phone?

Easily.

No. Because it's also my mp3 player. And I need music.

No because I need constant open communication with my job. They have to be able to reach me. Plus some people I know what have a fit if they couldnt get hold of me on my cell. It would just cause a bunch of confusion so I gotta keep it on me.

I have trained for years how to exist without communicating electronically. In fact, in 1967 with my first landline telephone, I had a switch installed so I could turn that intrusive device off - there was no reason that anyone needed to wake me that could not wait until the next morning.

I have a cell phone and turn it on when I want to call someone or am expecting someone to call me for a reason. Few ppl have my cell #. They call my landline and leave a msg on my machine.

Try it for a day. You too can be free from these Orwellian intrusive devices.

I don't even have one.

I can live a whole year without it.

I hate cell phones. I really just need the music.

In theory, I could do without my cellphone, but in practice/reality, I can't, only for the reason that I'm on everyone's speed-dial, including my daughter's close friends, in the event she should have a seizure when I'm not around. So my phone is used mostly as a "Mom-911" to get to where she is fast, in that situation, but thankfully, it's been over a year now that I've been "paged" on my cell.

I also use it to call my Grandmother, because that's the only phone she can hear me on, for whatever reason! LOL

yes i could, and have.. i've lost my cellphone so many gat dayum times and have had to wait for company to send me a replacement

Yup. I could. My cell phone is my secondary phone right now.

I could probably go a day without using my cellphone and there have been plenty of days I haven't used my cell phone, but I could never travel without one.

I don't like to, but this weekend, just felt like being totally unplugged while we were at Dad's, and so that is what I did. It was nice.

Realizing that it might be a bit harder, as I"m going to be getting rid of my landline sooner.
