| No matter how close, or strained, your relationship is with the old man; what's the best lesson he taught you? What good things did you inherit from him? | |

| I was thinking about this the other day, as far as I can tell, there are two things that I've learned from him, one more certain than the other, he taught me how to play chess, and he sort of taught me how to drive; between the two both were bitter experiences but seem to have paid off in the long run. | |

| "If you just learn a single trick, Alan, you'll get along a lot better with all kinds of folks. You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view... Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it." Wait...that was Atticus Finch.

| My bio dad taught me how to shoot a rifle and shotgun, drive a tractor and a motor boat. My step dad taught me how to drive a car and get a license. He taught me frugality and to manage money. Also encouraged my pursuit of science and was artistic himself so guess that rubbed off. | |

What good things did you inherit from him? If you're masturbating, make sure you lock the door behind you.

So you didn't have to learn that, the ah, hard way? That was the idea. Unfortunately, it was a lesson I forgot by the time I got to college. Had to learn it again, the hard way.

| Anything lessons I learned I learned from my Mama. One lesson I learned from my father was to control your temper and never, ever, ever beat a child to within an inch of his life. Happy Father's Day Pop. | |
