Summer School.

When you were a kid, did you ever have to go to summer school?

A friend of mine is actually making her daughter take a class, despite her getting good grades throughout the school year; simply because she wants that extra credit on her transcript.

In a way, my mother recalls we did work through the summers as well, but from my own memory this was just a part time thing. I guess it was like, come fall we'd be in a new grade, all new things, and so over summer so we'd already be ready for one thing, we took whatever novels we would have to read for tests and read them over the summer. I hated it, of course if the choice of books had been different I don't think I would've minded as much.

Similar to my situation. I went to summer school because there was a class that I was required to have during my senior year, and I didn't want to waste my time and take it during that year. I'd rather get it in the 2 months of summer school, than in the 9 months of the regular school year. It was one less class I had to worry about during my senior year.

Went twice. The summer in between 7th and 8th grade....and again in between my junior and senior year. Wasn't bad at all. The atmosphere is a lot calmer, more hands on and it was only for an hour.

Nope. Never had to go to summer school.

nope, didn't like school during the school year.. was never about to give up my summer vacation

I took a semester off and did it in the Summer. Honestly, I kind of preferred it. There was practically nobody around, and it was a much more relaxed place to be. Plus some of the classes I took were better, particularly the law course.
