I'm getting so I hate when a celebrity says or does something stupid, they issue a public statement of apology (written by someone in their camp). It's not sincere, necessary or believable. Stand by your words, no matter how stupid they were....

"I'm sorry, but no apologies here."
I wrote that in response to a controversial article that got a lot of ppl mad at my political incorrectness.

LOL, like Chris Brown's apologies. I like the boy, but someone needs to coach him how to not be so reckless.

Chris Brown's apologies are amazing.
AMAZING.
Because they're so fake. That stunt at the Michael Jackson tribute...

Re: Celebrity Apologies
The apologies are less about the celebrities themselves and more about the companies they represent. The TV network, sports team, soft drink manufacturer, movie studio, etc doesn't want to come under fire for being affiliated with some loose lipped star who said something offensive. That's why they apologize, I think.

Basically. If Tracy Morgan and Mel Gibson worked at Home Depot or UPS and said what they said outside of work, would they apologize then?

Re: Celebrity Apologies
Cat broke it down perfectly. All of these celebrity apologies we hear most likely came by way of employer insistence, because the truth is members of the general public *will* take only about sixty seconds before looking to who pays these people to complain (and to start threatening action) about they said.

Chris Brown's apologetic statements are funny because of how articulate they are, compared to how dumb he usually sounds when he speaks.
