Jean Reno as a hitman who reluctantly takes 11 year old Natalie Portman under his wing after her family is massacred by psycho cop Gary Oldman. I haven't seen the European edit where there's a "sexual tension" between Leon and Mathilda (I'm OK with that). Oldman's not on-screen that much but he steals the movie for me. He has a little dialog about Beethoven whom he later played in Immortal Beloved.
