    Scoops & Spoilers
Previews for the week of 11-Jul-2011
    by Carol Banks Weber

    • Echo becomes privy to Rex’s underhanded power-playing strategy, using Tea and Blair in an effort to bring Todd and Jack down to their knees.

    • Rex adjusts his tune for Echo’s benefit, making it more about his business dealings in a new venture to wreck Todd instead.

    • Rex points out to Echo that he developed his new firm name from Gigi Morasco’s name, in honor of her.

    • Bo tries to get a handle on where Rex’s head is at with Clint’s heart.

    • Rex pops a cork at Bo’s prodding, ranting and raving about all those well-wishers and do-gooders who did nothing when Jackass was hounding Shane relentlessly.

    • John and Brody are working hard at the police station when the subject of the missing cassette recorder comes up. Cut to Brody, shitting a brick.

    • John inquires of the cassette recorder with Brody, who finds it and brings it over for a listen.

    • John and Brody push play but hear only static. There’s nothing on it.

    • But when Natalie, all alone, sees the cassette recorder, she goes back in time to the roof with Marty and almost retrieves all of her memories from that night.

    • John comes upon the scene, breaking up Natalie’s reverie, wiping her memory advances clean all over again.

    • Natalie sees if John has any clues about the cassette recorder. To which John points back to Brody.

    • Dorian holds a gun on David, so hacked off is she. Before she can blow his nuts off, the two of them feast their eyes on a dead, rotting stranger.

    • Dorian and David find a floater, who turns out to be a WSB-type agent.

    • David rings up 911 immediately.

    • The La Boulaie floater opens up another murder mystery for John and Brody to look after.

    • Dorian tries to steer John and Brody to David as the culprit in the floater case—based on the weapon and a note found on the premises. Alas, it’s not enough for a charge or apprehension.

    • Natalie and John do their respective jobs, working together as a team on a case of that floater. She hands over the work she’s done to him. It involves the revelation of another encrypted file, similar to the ones on Todd and Tomas.

    • Blair walks into La Boulaie to witness Dorian giving David the ole heave-ho.

    • Natalie tries to get answers from Brody about what could’ve been on the cassette recording. John does too.

    • Sensing Natalie and John ganging up on him, Brody loses his cool, stirring up conflict and even more questions.

    • John begins to look at Brody as a man with a lot to hide and a lot to lose, but what?

    • John hits paydirt, but what does it all mean?

    • The Man With the Scar (MWS, played by original Todd Manning—Roger Howarth) tries to approach Todd’s sister, Viki, in Llanfair when he’s scared back into the shadows by the sudden clodhopping of the man recognized as Todd Manning himself… there to confer with her.

    • Todd and Viki puzzle over the remains of their framed picture.

    • David barges into Llanfair, barking about Dorian, Ionia, and why Viki isn’t fixing this.

    • David nags Viki to look into the person possibly behind the scenes of Ionia throwing herself at him…like she said she would.

    • Viki ponders Echo as the person orchestrating the Ionia drama for David.

    • David extrapolates to Viki that this must be Echo’s doing.

    • Echo finds herself yapping at the mouth – monologuing – when with Dorian. She says too much and has to do major damage control.

    • Viki and David try to get a hold of Dorian for enlightening, but she’s unreachable.

    • Todd goes to work at The Sun and tries to be on the level with his son Jack. It’s when he does this that it comes out just what he’s been trying to hold over John’s head (Liam).

    • Todd puts Jack to work on a task: investigate this rival company, Origami Cogs, trying to muddy up the works.

    • MWS illegally rummages around in Todd’s empty office when the door opens… panic ensuing.

    • MWS thinks it’s Todd Manning returning to the office and he’s busted, so he blindly goes on the attack—POW!, accidentally hammering Todd’s son Jack from behind.

    • MWS leaves Jack out cold in Todd’s office for Todd Da Man to find.

    • Todd automatically thinks of Rex/Shane when he rouses his blacked-out son Jack.

    • Todd and Tea walk on eggshells, reversing all the hard work they put into their repaired, but dysfunctional relationship.

    • Things get heated when Tomas witnesses Todd getting a bit too rough with Tea, and puts a halt to it.

    • Baz makes sure he’s close by as Tomas levels Todd, to catch every word—for Starr later.

    • Baz had a chance to lean in real good when Tomas was talking in hushed tones with Todd. Baz follows his spy game up with a full report to Starr.

    • Tomas hassles Todd for abusing Tea like that.

    • Todd goes to Tea, hat in hand, as penitent as he can be.

    • Baz and Starr each go over Tomas and Todd, and what they know, respectively.

    • Blair and Tea relay to Starr that Rex wasn’t very nice to them at Gigi’s wake.

    • Starr, in turn, relays to Blair and Tea that Sam has been interacting with someone that doesn’t exist, someone he describes very much like the old Todd.

    • Sam looks forward to his birthday, the one day his clan actually interacts with him.

    • News of the floater has Blair associating it with Sam and this pretend playmate.

    • Blair pushes her son Sam to report to the men in blue about this homeless man by bringing him to the station.

    • Sam fingers the floater as Agent Kent, then extrapolates the reason for his demise: Sam’s homeless pal shot Agent Kent to spare Sam’s own life.

    • Sam and his loved ones head on over to Todd’s house for a birthday party to end all birthday parties.

    • MWS disguises himself as Spider-Man so he can mingle at Sam’s birthday party unawares.

    • As soon as their backs are turned, and the birthday cake is presented, Sam bolts somewhere. But where?

    • There’s some serious ugly that breaks out when Natalie announces her and Brody’s lovefest to Jessica. Jessica loses her temper and dukes it out with that whore Natalie.

    • Jessica gives Natalie the business end of her hand in an ugly catfight, as Viki gasps nearby.

    • Viki admonishes Jessica for the slap, by adding that it’s a terrible example to set for daughter Bree who was also there to see the serious ugly.

    • Jessica must tend to her daughter Bree because of her bitchy actions.

    • Ford tries to hash out visitation that can work for both he and Jessica, but she’s in a pissy mood.

    • Eventually, Jessica softens her stance long enough to hear Ford out about Tess and reach more common ground with the guy.

    • Bo and Nora detect a lead in Matthew’s head-trauma case.

    • Vivian goes on and on about the young teen pregnancy group she mentors when she notices Destiny turning green.

    • Shaun might as well have his head in the sand when it comes to Destiny and her problems. He just shrugs off her latest bizarre behavior as relating to Matthew’s condition.

    • Vivian detects Destiny’s warming a fresh bun in the oven, and proceeds to counsel the young woman.

    • Dani gives her solemn oath to stand by and abide by Destiny’s wishes—no matter what.

    • Rick dangles pertinent data on Deanna’s mom, provided Deanna spread her legs for him on film.

    • Rick has Deanna and Nate between a rock and a hard place, especially when Rick gets her over a barrel.

    • A disappointing caucus with attorneys puts Deanna in even more dire straits.

    • Destiny happens by just as Nate and Deanna agree to caucus at the Minuteman Motel. You know girlfriend is giving the details to Dani.

    • Rick sets up the first scene in his new porno, featuring a miserable Nate and Deanna—when Dani bursts through the doors and raises a ruckus.

    • At the swimming pool, Starr and James squeeze in some loving time.

    • Next week: The lurking’s over! Todd and MWS finally have their day in the sun… The next person to victimize Vimal with extortion is Brody… Tea browbeats Tomas into giving himself up, all of himself—or ass to the curb… John troubles himself with Rex’s latest shenanigans and how this might end for everyone… Someone quite unexpected plucks Dorian from harm’s way… Dorian and David’s fate lies in the balance… Kelly and Joey make inroads to a reunion and a departure.

Thanks Chris! Bet John is figuring out how he can help Rex get away with his newest crimes. I really don't know how much I want to watch OLTL at this point. RH is really ruining things for me, as is this storyline with Rex revealing more of his sociopathic tendencies..
